No Go Gala (Thought For Food 2009)
Although we would love to see you, this year we cordially invite you to not attend the annual Thought For Food Gala! For one year only, the OAFB is hosting a non-event fundraising campaign in order to dedicate our resources to overcoming declining food donations through 2009 by raising $50,000 by December 31st.
Your support will help the OAFB launch Community Harvest Ontario to add an additional two million pounds of fresh local food to our distribution network. This produce would otherwise be tilled back into the soil or sent out for disposal, and instead will reach our neighbours facing hunger through the coming year. There's never been a more important time for you to stay at home and help people facing hunger in Ontario with fresh local food.
