Loblaws Co Ltd. Food Drive

Loblaws facilitates three seasonal food drives every year in their Loblaws and Real Canadian Superstores locations in communities across the province. In 2009, the Loblaws food drives went national in partnership with Food Banks Canada.

Loblaws customers are able to participate in two ways:

    * Shoppers are encouraged to purchase additional groceries and drop their donation in the store’s collection bin; and
    * Shoppers may also choose to add a financial donation to their grocery bill at the checkout to go to their local food bank. The food that is collected in each community goes directly to the local food bank through the coordination of the OAFB. The funds raised are distributed by Food Banks Canada to food banks in participating communities.
