Anna Olson

About Anna

“Delicious” is how Anna describes the variety of her days. From hosting “Fresh with Anna Olson” on Food Network, to writing recipes for print media or her latest of five cookbooks, Anna craves that every day be different but tantalizing.

Whether writing, hosting, or spending her days as owner of two Niagara-based food operations (Olson Foods at Port in the scenic lakeside community of Port Dalhousie and partner in Olson Foods at Ravine on the property of the new and acclaimed Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery), Anna likes connecting with people. “It’s not me who calls the trends in foods; it’s those who make my recipes or come into the stores and tell me what they like or what they’re looking for who decide what’s popular” says Anna.

And in her spare time, Anna cooks some more. She enjoys downtime with her husband, Michael, in the kitchen cooking and laughing. The couple currently reside in a beautiful historic home in the heart of Niagara, dated back to the 1860's. It is here that she currently tapes her successful new program "Fresh with Anna Olson", tantalizing our senses and taste buds with each recipe she prepares. This show follows on the heels of a successful five seasons of Food Network’s “Sugar”.

While people may think of Anna as a "celebrity chef", she is incredibly humble about her accomplishments, and is extremely generous and donates much time to local charities. If you ask Anna about her show, she'll kindly tell you that she prefers not to watch - instead you'll find her and Michael watching a sit-com re-run, laughing whole heartedly. She has a weakness for chicken wings and poutine and drives with the music real loud. A little-known secret ...she's also a Disco Queen at heart!!
