Announcement: Call for Submissions
Articles written by graduate and undergraduate students on issues of hunger, poverty and/or food security in Ontario are invited for potential publication in Esurio, a refereed student journal. Content may be qualitative and/or quantitative, and take the form of a traditional academic article, narrative, review or critique, however, all submissions must speak to changing the very systems that allow poverty and hunger to exist and to the disconnects between theory and experience.
Our review process is committed to nurturing the capacity for personal reflection as we work with young scholars to develop their first scholarly manuscripts into published works. We encourage articles written by students working on hunger, poverty and food security projects in their communities, with community members as second authors. Submissions are limited to 5000 words.
Rolling submission deadline for Fall 2008 publication, including a current November 30th submission deadline. Please see the attached call for submission poster for more information (pdf). Prospective authors are asked to submit their manuscripts online through Esurio's Open Journal website at http://www.esurio.ca
