Toronto, ON (December 16) – The province’s two largest food banks are giving a new meaning to ‘The Battle of Ontario.’ In the run-up to the holidays, Daily Bread Food Bank and the Ottawa Food Bank are hosting a Turkey Drive at a Metro location in each community on Thursday, December 17th.

Fighting Poverty: The Best Way to Beat the Recession proves that the provincial government must make strategic investments in social infrastructure, such as affordable housing and income supports, for the poorest Ontarians in order to stimulate the economy and contain poverty rates.
