Vision

A hunger-free Ontario.

About Us

The Ontario Association of Food Banks (OAFB) nurtures communities by providing food, funding, and solutions to reduce hunger through a network of 120 community food banks across the province. 375,000 Ontarians are served by food banks every month, and 40 per cent of those served are children. The OAFB secures and moves 6 - 8 million pounds of food, including one million litres of fresh milk annually.

The OAFB aims to:

-Aquire and distribute food across Ontario

-Ensure member food banks meet certain standards of safety, quality and ethics

-Support members through grants and professional development

-Reduce poverty through policy, programs and projects
