Ontario's food banks recognize generous support of local farmers

GUELPH, ON, Oct. 21 /CNW/ - Ontario's farmers and food banks are gathering in Guelph this Thursday to celebrate the harvest season at Ontario's Harvest Gala. At the event, the Ontario Association of Food Banks (OAFB) will be presenting the second annual Paul Mistele Memorial Award. The award honors organizations that have demonstrated a long-standing commitment to reducing hunger in Ontario, and is named for the late Paul Mistele, a London-area pork farmer who started the Donate-A-Hog program.
